Aurélie Crisetig (b. 1992, Switzerland) is a photographer, curator and art historian based in London.
Working with both film and digital photography, her practice explores the relationship between memory, place and absence. Through observation and wandering, she documents urban environments, focusing on the traces people leave behind and the ways in which personal and collective histories become embedded within everyday spaces.
Drawn to empty streets, transitional landscapes and overlooked details, she photographs locations where human presence is implied rather than visible. Her images reflect on how memory shapes our perception of place and how photography can reveal narratives that often remain unnoticed.
Alongside her photographic practice, she maintains ongoing collections of personal ephemera and memorabilia, reflecting a broader interest in archives, collecting and material memory. Through photographs, objects and found traces, she considers the ways in which experiences are preserved, remembered and reinterpreted over time.
Aurelie holds an MA in Photography from the London College of Communication, University of the Arts London, and an MA in the History of Art and Archaeology of East Asia from SOAS, University of London. Her work has been exhibited internationally across Europe and Asia, and she has undertaken artist residencies in Tokyo and Hong Kong.
